What is the Latinx Graduation?

The bilingual ceremony was an additional/optional ceremony designed to commemorate Latinx/Hispanic culture.  Texas A&M University holds a special place in our hearts -- we wanted our parents to feel the same. Through the creation of the Latinx Graduation Ceremony, 8 organizations were able to work cohesively to bring it to fruition while garnering an incredible amount of support from the Brazos/College Station community.  This was a monumental occasion for parents, students, and our wonderful university, Texas A&M University.

Can I participate in the ceremony?

Yes! Any student who is graduating in Fall 2022, Spring 2023, or Summer 2023 from Texas A&M University can participate in the graduation ceremony by registering. This includes Bachelors, Masters, and Doctoral degrees. We firmly believe in being as inclusive as possible and we encourage students of ALL backgrounds to participate in the Latinx Graduation Ceremony.

What day will the Latinx Graduation take place?

The date for our Spring 2023 Ceremony is Sunday, May 14th at 4pm!

When can I register for the ceremony?

Registration for our the Spring Graduation Ceremonies will be open March 1st!

How much does it cost to participate in the ceremony?

Registration price for our Spring 2023 graduation ceremony is $37. 

What is included with registration?

Participation in the ceremony & the Latinx Graduation Stole of your choice. 

What forms of payment are accepted?

Debit or Credit Card are accepted through the payment link. You can access the payment link through the registration form. If you have any questions about payment, please do not hesitate to contact us at tamulatinxgraduation@gmail.com

Who plans the Latinx Graduation?

The event is organized by the Latinx Graduation Coalition (LGC). We are a coalition of 10 Latinx organizations at Texas A&M University who collaborate every year to coordinate this event. Read more HERE!

How can I receive my stole?

We will have options available for delivery and for on-campus pickup. Pick up will be April 4th and April 6th from 10am to 3:30pm

Where will we find photos and videos of the event?

You can check back to this website 2 weeks after the event. We will have all the pictures available in our gallery with a link to a google drive folder as well. We will also upload the photos to our Facebook page.

Will I be able to apply to be the student speaker?

Yes! The application for the role of student speaker (along with its requirements) is linked HERE. We will conduct the selection process in stages. We are very excited to see you apply!

Will I be able to apply to be the Master of Ceremony (MC)?

Yes! The application for the role of MC (along with its requirements) is linked HERE. We will conduct the selection process in stages. We are very excited to see you apply!

What is the Founder's Scholarship?

The Founder's Scholarship was created by the team of Latinx student leaders who led the inaugural Latinx Graduation Ceremony. They came together to make an idea become a reality, and now they have come together to give back.
